You'll immediately notice the Backbeat Bass Cajon packs a great low-end "thump", and this enhanced bass note sound comes from the unique ported sound hole design that boosts low end frequencies for a superb kick drum effect. To contrast the deep bass and play like an acoustic drum set, spanning the length of the playing surface inside the cajon are micro-coiled steel cajon strings that give you snap and pop just like a snare drum—turn the hex screw on the bottom to adjust snare sensitivity. The hardwood playing surface is sensitive to soft finger rolls and packs a punch at a louder volume, while the sturdy composite body with silicone feet resonates fully, giving you maximum projection and tone. This cajon is an outstanding percussion piece for settings like open mic nights, coffeehouse gigs, outdoor jam sessions or houses of worship. It may also be used with a microphone to fill large spaces with percussive sound. NOT made in China.
